Frame Tracing
The frame is scanned in three dimensions
Your chosen frame is traced to capture its exact shape and bevel groove — the precise template every lens is cut to, so the fit is true to your frame rather than an approximation of it.

Glazing Pre-Inspection
Lenses are checked before anything is cut
Each lens is inspected against your prescription — surface, coatings and centration all confirmed. Catching anything here, rather than after edging, is the difference between a lens that is right and one that is merely close.

Hand Edging & Safety Bevel
Each lens is edged and finished by hand
The lens is edged to the traced shape, then a safety bevel is worked along the edge by hand — so it seats cleanly in the frame, resists chipping and sits comfortably. It is the step machines rush and we don’t.

Prescription Checking
The finished lens is verified to tolerance
On the focimeter we confirm the finished lens — power, axis and optical centres — against your prescription. Nothing leaves the bench until every measurement agrees.

Alignment & Fitting
Aligned, adjusted and ready to wear
Finally the frame is aligned and adjusted to the measurements we took, so your glasses sit level and balanced — ready to wear the moment you collect them.
